Textil4all

Socios

TEXTIL4ALL Opportunities in the textile sector for people and the planet is a European project which aims to offer training and job opportunities to people with more difficulties in accessing a job, with a special focus on women in San Cristobal de los Angeles in Madrid (Spain) and Thessaloniki (Greece). Funded by the Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education (SEPIE) through the ERASMUS+ programme, with a budget of 60,000 euros and a duration of 19 months, the project is led by the Spanish non-profit association Education, Culture and Solidarity, and formed by a consortium between the Greek entity Envolve and the Finnova Foundation from Belgium.

The initiative has two main objectives: to provide access to training and employment and to promote a more sustainable textile industry committed to current environmental challenges, tackling issues such as “fast fashion” and its negative consequences.

Girls4Tech

The GIRLS4TECH project is presented as an opportunity for local development led by youth, in particular girls, through innovation and technology.

The teaching of STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) is one of the priorities in education, not only for the Erasmus programme but for the education system in general. These are presented as the future of the world of work, understanding that technology and digitalisation play an increasingly important role in our lives.

The main objective of GIRLS4TECH is to encourage youth participation in the development of their own municipalities by identifying the challenges they face and finding solutions based on innovation and technology. It will also put girls at the forefront of these initiatives, thus promoting female entrepreneurship and leadership with the aim, among others, of encouraging their interest and participation in STEM subjects.

100WomenPlus

Socios

The 100Women plus project is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme and its main objective is to promote female entrepreneurship through cooperation between Europe and West Africa, through the exchange of experiences and peer learning activities.

100 Women Plus is inspired by Afrimac2, a project for business, technological, entrepreneurial and innovative exchange in areas of high economic impact between the Canary Islands and West Africa in the framework of the Interreg MAC programme (Madeira, Azores and Canary Islands) 2014-2020.

In a context of global challenges and continuous changes, the need to address equity from more cooperative and collaborative approaches has become a point of focus. The 100 Women Plus project aims to strengthen the presence of European and African women in the economic and business sectors, establishing new mechanisms for women’s participation, strengthening the ecosystem of women entrepreneurs in the participating countries and creating networks and partnerships between institutions in Europe and Africa.

WomenEquity

The main objective of the project “European Women at Work: towards equity”, also called WOMENEQUITY, is to raise awareness of the barriers that women face in accessing the labour market.

Therefore, WOMENEQUITY tries to address women’s access to the labour market from a European perspective that allows, thanks to the collaboration between municipalities such as Benaguasil, Botosani, Lourinha or Santarcange lo di romagna; to look for solutions that reduce these barriers and improve their conditions. The project also aims to raise awareness and involve all citizens in this reality, as well as public and private entities, offering work tools based on equality to achieve greater inclusion of women in the labour market. To this end, the target group of the project is divided into three main groups: young people starting to enter the labour market, unemployed women over 55 and immigrant women. This target group is due to the increase in the number of teleworkers, especially women who, together with the closure of schools and kindergartens, have generally taken on greater domestic and care responsibilities and consequently suffered a deterioration between work and life.

Life Ecodigestion 2.0

This initiative is led by Global Omnium, in collaboration with the Finnova Foundation, (framed in the Technovationgirls challenges), and Águas do Centro Litoral. This collaboration of 3 countries, Spain, Belgium and Portugal respectively, aims to become the most versatile energy control and transformation tool on the market, achieving benefits for the environment thanks to the creation of biogas.

Within the framework of the Finnova-Technovation Girls Challenges, we disseminated among the young participants the LIFEECOdigestion 2.0 project, a project funded by the LIFE programme, in which through all the different organic waste from sectors such as HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants and Cafeterias), farms, supermarkets, our solid urban waste, etc., and through a water purification treatment, methane is generated, being a biogas that allows us to convert all this organic waste into green energy.

Unwto Akawe Tourism Challenge
