The project 100 Women plus Led by Finnova, in collaboration with Cabildo de Fuerteventura and Fundadoras, is a cooperation project co-funded by the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme, the European programme for education, training, youth and sport.

100 Women plus aims to strengthen the presence of European and African women in the economic and business sectors by establishing new mechanisms for women’s participation, strengthening the ecosystem of women entrepreneurs in the participating countries and creating networks and partnerships between institutions in Europe and Africa.

In an attempt to address the need for greater equality and to enhance international cooperation on women entrepreneurship 100 women plus propose a series of learning activities, exchange of experiences and transfer of results.

With a total budget of 60.000€ and a duration of 10 months, over the course of 2023, various training and exchange activities will be carried out, including training activities on women entrepreneurship; the creation of a gallery of success stories that will contribute to the visibility of women entrepreneurship initiatives; a programme of talks and debates on equality and participation; and a final conference in Brussels.

100 Women Plus is inspired by Afrimac2, a project for business, technological, entrepreneurial and innovative exchange in areas of high economic impact between the Canary Islands and West Africa in the framework of the Interreg MAC programme (Madeira, Azores and Canary Islands) 2014-2020.

The expected results of this project are the creation of a network of women and collaborating organisations promoting gender equality and female entrepreneurship, work on the creation of specific content and strengthened cooperation between African and European entities.
